About the Library

The Wichita County Library was built in 1958 after originally being located in the Courthouse.

The library collections include:

  • Adult Fiction
  • Adult Non-Fiction
  • Adult Audios
  • Biographies
  • Junior Fiction and Non-fiction
  • Young Adult collection
  • Children’s Picture Books
  • Children’s Easy Reader Books
  • A new section of Adult and Children’s Spanish books
  • Magazines and Newspapers
  • Movies/DVD’s

 The library also offers Interlibrary Loan if what you are looking for is not in the library’s collection.

The Library Director, Amy Nichol, and staff member Kadon Chidester, are happy to answer any questions and help you in any way possible!
