Just a reminder that you can still join the Adult's Summer Library Program. Anyone aged 15 and up are invited to join. You have until September 6th to turn in your game board/reading logs. You could win a $100.00 gift card to a local business. Stop by the library to sign up and get started.
On Saturday, July 20th we had the end of the Summer Library Program Pizza Party! Thirteen kids completed the program. They read a total of 35,480 minutes!!! That is 591.333 hours or 24.639 days of continuous reading! That is amazing. It really does pay to have your child participate in the program. Here is a list of the winners. Everyone got to pick a prize and also received 10 Wichita Co. Fair tickets.
Om Friday, July 12th the library's Summer Library Program went to Escape The Clock in Garden City. We escaped in 44 minutes and 5 seconds! Thank you for the fun!
On July 11th 13 Summer Library Program kids enjoyed snacks and drinks from 28 different countries! It was quite an adventure! We bought the snacks from the Munch Addict website. We learned facts about many of the countries. It was many of the kids favorite day. I was surprised at how adventurous they were!
Thank you so much to Katie from Smoky Hills PBS! We read a book, watched a show and made worm bookmarks. The kids learned all about soil! See you next Thursday. Be sure to bring your reading logs to turn in next week!
